Fairy Tale Fashion is a unique and imaginative exhibition that examines fairy tales through the lens of high fashion. 14 fairy tales will be brought to life through immersive gallery design, and elaborate, sometimes even outrageous pieces of haute couture. It includes a number of recent creations from labels such as Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Comme des Garçons, and Undercover.

数あるFairy Tale（おとぎばなし）の中で、ドレスは登場人物のキャラクター、階級、感情、変化などを表すサインとして使われている。その中でもシンデレラに登場するガラスの靴は、有名なファッションアイテムだろう。Fairy Taleは数々のデザイナーたちがその空想世界にインスパイヤーされて、度々コレクションのテーマとして扱うことも決して少なくない。
ニューヨークのFITで行なわれている特別展示”Fairy Tale Fashion”は、14種類のFairy Taleをテーマに、ファッションデザイナーが手がけたユニークなドレスや、年代物のドレス、手の込んだオートクチュールなどを展示している。展示デザインが秀逸で、自然と物語に入めるよう設計されており、各ドレスが放つイマジネーションをより感じることができる。 Dolce & Gabbana、Alexander McQueen、Comme des Garçonsなどの有名ブランド・デザイナーが制作したドレスもあり、同じテーマでもデザインのディレクションの相違を比較するのも楽しみの一つ。
